Call Out to God!

Hello friend,

“Call to Me, and I will answer you and tell you great and incomprehensible things you do not know.”

Jeremiah 33:3

The very thought that we can call out to God is amazing.

As Easter Sunday approaches, I urge you to pause right now and call out to God.

Call out to him about the personal things in your life. May God take away the things robbing you of your peace and joy.

Call out to God about your work and career. May God direct you and lead you.

Call out to God about the things you’ve been afraid to bring up because of shame or guilt. God is a loving and forgiving God.

I pray that this Easter will be a fresh experience for you as a follower of Jesus. May God work through you to bless your family, friends, and neighbors. May God heal your hurts and increase your love and boldness for Him. May you join God where He is working. And may all that you do and say glorify God.

I thank God for you and for your love, support, and encouragement to me and the ongoing ministry God has called me to do. My prayer is that God will use me to touch lives and encourage people to know that Jesus is the answer to all we are facing in our lives, in Louisiana, in the US, and throughout the world. I am committed to calling out to Him as He leads me in loving Him and others.

Prayer Ministry Updates

I began writing this newsletter after completing one of the many prayer calls I lead or participate in every week. I am encouraged to hear how God is calling people to pray and the testimonies of answered prayer. In addition to the prayer calls, I lead several in-person prayer meetings. I invite you to join me and others in a time of prayer. If you are interested in joining a prayer call or praying in person, please message me for details.

I am very excited that the in-person prayer meetings are growing every month. The Lord has also opened some opportunities to gather with pastors to pray. Please join me in praying that the Holy Spirit will put on the hearts of pastors across the country to commit more time to pray. I believe this is key for churches to be in sync with the work God desires of pastors and churches.

I have had the opportunity to serve on the Louisiana Governor’s Prayer Breakfast Task Force for several years now. March 15th was this year’s annual breakfast, and the Lord used it to bring business leaders, educators, church leaders, and government leaders together. I thank God for the way He used Voddie Baucham as the keynote speaker to give a strong message of hope.

In the past I mentioned an effort to purchase an ice trailer for use during Disaster Relief and short-term critical incidents. I shared my ideas with a company that is now working on a design! I ask that you continue to pray about this. I believe God will use it to open many doors to share the Gospel. Pray for a fair market price and for the resources to come forth as we wait on the final design and pricing.

Thank You

I thank you for your prayer support as God continues to open doors for me to minister to and with families walking through some difficult times. I am praying for those dealing with feelings of depression and no sense of hope. As I work with these families, I help connect them to churches where they can be loved and shepherded.

Amid our family walking through the cancer treatments of one daughter-in-law, we received news that our other daughter-in-law is expecting twins. We are excited for Jody and Olivia as they prepare for twins. Our daughter-in-law Ann will have surgery on April 28th, so we appreciate your continued prayers for her.

I thank God for you and your love and financial support of me and this ministry. I hope you have a great month as we celebrate Jesus and His resurrection.

If I can pray or serve you in any way, please let me know.

With a Grateful Heart,

Pastor Jay
