Opportunities For Prayer and Ministry

Hello Friend,

I am always encouraged when I get to hear a Christian’s testimony of spiritual transformation.

In 1 Timothy 1:12, we read Paul’s testimony and his story of transformation. The redeeming work of Jesus Christ found in these verses is encouraging, and I am grateful the Holy Spirit continues to redeem and reconcile people to Jesus. In these days of uncertainty, I encourage you to be faithful in reading God’s Word, to continue consistently praying, and to take time to share the Good News of Jesus with others. Take a moment to write out your testimony using these three headings: Before Christ, How I Came to Christ, Today with Christ. Then share your testimony of spiritual transformation with a family member, friend, or neighbor.

Prayer Opportunities

On Sunday, November 21, at 8:00 PM EST, I will be hosting a prayer call with a time to share testimonies. You can join by calling toll-free (425) 436-6287, and when prompted, dial 970542#. I hope you will join me as we open Thanksgiving week with powerful prayer and testimonies.

I’d also like to invite you to join me on Saturday mornings at 7:30 AM EST for an hour-long prayer call. We will spend time praying for our nation, families, and churches. This is an excellent way to learn how to pray as you listen to others profess their prayers and join in as you feel led to pray. You can join by calling toll-free (425) 436-6287, and when prompted, dial 970542#

In October, I had the privilege of opening service in prayer in front of the US Supreme Court Building. During this gathering, we celebrated the sanctity of human life. It was a sweet time of prayer, worship, and testimonies of God’s love and mercy. I encourage you to continue praying for the Supreme Court as they hear the oral arguments for Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization on December 1. This case could overturn Roe v. Wade, so please remain diligent in praying for the sanctity of human life.

Ongoing Ministry Updates

My volunteer Chaplain ministry with the State Police is something I truly enjoy. I am always grateful for the favor God has given me with the Troopers. But October has been a challenging time for the State Police. On October 9, a trooper was lost during an ambush. I continue to minister to and walk with several of the troopers following this tragic loss.

I have officially completed my interim pastor work at Red Bluff. I was blessed to lead them through a tough season and worked with the pastor search team as they did tremendous work in praying, listening to sermons, and praying for a new pastor. The Lord led them to an outstanding candidate.

I continue to lead the Prayer efforts for the Family Research Council, and on Sunday, November 28, we will have a nationwide prayer service to pray for the Supreme Court.

As I continue my work through Jay Johnston Ministry, I am grateful for your prayer and financial support to minister and equip others to reach the masses for Jesus.

New Ministry Opportunities

The Lord continues to reveal new ministry opportunities to me. Recently, the Lord has presented three new ministry opportunities to me. These are all overflows of what I am already doing on a smaller scale. I ask that you pray with me about these ministry opportunities. I welcome your questions and input as I seek to be obedient to the gifts and talents that God has given me. I have included some financial numbers for you to look over as you consider and pray about supporting me in these works.

First, I am looking into establishing a city-wide prayer meeting in the capital city of Louisiana. I would be working with pastors and local ministries in this effort. The prayer gathering would initially take place once a month in a public venue. I am working to gather the total cost of ministry which would include rental space, promotion, etc. I ask that you pray with me about this opportunity.

Second, I’m looking into an opportunity to be on the frontlines of future disaster relief efforts. This would give me the opportunity to be in communities affected by natural disasters or critical incidents soon after such events and work alongside law enforcement, first responders, and disaster relief leaders.

Here’s more information on what that would look like.

Because of my chaplain work with the state police, I saw a need to take the lead while helping with disaster relief following Hurricane Ida. To sustain this, I would recruit friends like you, local church volunteers, and other ministries to assist me. The vision would be to have two trailers from Featherlite Trailers. One trailer would be equipped with an ice maker, one large deep freeze, and one small deep freeze. It would also have a water filtration system and could operate on a generator and shore power. The second trailer would be outfitted to prepare meals for approximately 250 people per mealtime. It is a niche opportunity to be able to be on the frontlines of disaster relief with first responders, law enforcement, and disaster relief leaders and to be able to provide for them as they establish a base of operation. These trailers would also support the ongoing ministry of assisting with critical incident needs of law enforcement and first responders. In exploring trailer options and having conversations with friends from Samaritan’s Purse, we are looking at the cost of approximately $20,000 for the ice trailer and $180,000 for the cooking trailer.

Third, as I continue working the 1-12 Corridor ministering to men, families, and law enforcement, I would like to be able to equip them with Bibles and discipleship resources. The estimated cost for one year is $10,000.

In closing, I ask you to pray for our family. One of our daughters-in-law, Ann, has been diagnosed with breast cancer. We are currently waiting to learn more about her condition and what the next steps for her treatment will be. Ann is married to our son Grady, and they have two young boys. I am grateful for the faith they have in Jesus and how they exercise their faith. I will update you with how you can specifically pray for them when we learn more. For now, pray cancer has not spread, for proper medical guidance, and that they continue to rest in the Lord.

I thank you for your prayers and your continued support of this ministry. I also remind you that all contributions are tax-deductible. If you have any questions, please feel free to call or text me.
